Cloudy Farm
Made in 48 hours for the GMTK Game Jam 2023.
Theme: Roles Reversed
Description:
This is a farming game, but you are not the farmer.
Instead, you're the weather that's trying its best to annoy the farmer and destroy his crops.
Instructions:
Fly around the farm (using A,D or arrows) and use your abilities to ruin poor farmer's hopes.
You have 3 abilites:
You can also blow away other clouds by holding Space.
Use this to fend off rain clouds or to position the Blocking Cloud.
The sun boosts the growing speed of randomly chosen crops.
You can block the sunbeams with the Blocking Cloud.
Your goal is to make the farmer run out of tomato seeds.
But, if he will harvest 100 tomatoes before running out, you lose.
Controls:
Esc / Q - Pause game
A, D / arrows - movement
Space - blowing
S, W - selecting ability
E - using ability
M - mute/unmute audio

This is a fantastic concept. I love the idea of using nature to disrupt a typical player task. Great interpretation of "roles reversed". If you want to add more to this project or any others you're working on, I'd be happy to help with ideas or compose music!
wow, i really like this. Espessially the art and souds are great.
The menu's are functional and clear too.The game is just overall good. Gameplay is fun, and I was definitely stressing at the end. It is balanced too: first time playing I failed, second time I just barely made it, and that feeling was great. It has an arcady feel to it. Controls don't feel super great and the gameplay is not really innovative, but the fun makes up for that. Well done!
