Press AWSD or Arrow Keys to move.

Press ESC or Q to pause/resume the game.

To close the picture screen also press ESC or Q.

If you're stuck on this part with branching paths in the green area, you're supposed to go through the bottom path and activate the traps near the top of the activators (like on the screenshot). As long as you don't move off the square and it stays lit up it won't shoot again and you can move past. Let me know if you have any other issues with beating the game.
